“The Hunted Bambi” (Poem)

“The Hunted Bambi”
The Bambi season is here again beautiful deer pursued by men
The shots ring out as the hunters shout as the deer are all taken out

Shaking, quivering, and scared to move an easy target as the hunters prove
After antlers and meat for a feast as they all hunt down the frightened beast

They finally have their prey in sight as the “Bambi’s” run with all their might
It’s eventually over as the shotguns blast the “Bambi” life is a thing of the past

The carcass is salvaged as the head is cut off the hunters head home with their cherished prize lot
Taken home the deer is all cut up giving steak and roast to fill them up

Maybe I’ll become a vegan as I find it hard to bare down the barrels of a shotgun the deer have to stare
Their population dwindles and I think that it stinks very soon little “Bambi” will become extinct

“The Bird’s Nest” (Poem)

“The Bird’s Nest”

(Inspired by my son Martin)

The sparrows fly around each day sometimes they will stop for a rest
They will perch themselves upon a branch as they strive to build a nest

They know that they have to have a home for their young as they labour all day long
Carrying twigs back and forth so tirelessly as the little birds break into song

The twigs are all woven in and out what a skill it looks so neat
What a beautiful sound they sing all day as we listen to them tweet

This is the wonder of God’s nature He made them all unique
Refined and shaped in a perfect way there’s just something about that beak

“Coming out of the closet” (Poem)

“Coming out of the closet”

Many years have passed me by and I’ve been in the closet far too long
I think the time has come right now to reveal who I really am

I’ve been in the closet for many years knowing that I had to come out
I want to proclaim to the world of my life and share everything about

Sometimes I kept it hidden just wondering what people would think
Nevertheless, no more closet, no longer a Christian fink

God’s word tells us if we want to pray to go into the closet to get away
Gaining spiritual insight for doctrine that’s sound from noise and attractions that are all around

The problem is I forgot to come out to Minister Jesus to those who’re about
However, here I am, I’m filled with His power to declare God’s word this very hour.

“It’s Fall Again” (Poem)

“It’s Fall Again”

The trees are so majestic growing high and ever so tall
The leaves are changing colour now which indicates its fall

They gently drop onto the ground as silent as they fall
They land upon the grass below just covering about all

The colours are as vibrant as they glisten through the sun
The snow is coming very soon to cover all leaves each one

The green, gold, and red ones too individual as they grew
Now the season’s telling them it’s time to make things new

A few month’s on its spring again the fall it’s now long gone
They will birth new buds all over again and leaves will be re-born

“The analogy of the pizza man” (Poem)

“The analogy of the pizza man”

This is my analogy of the pizza man
He makes a fast delivery he does the best he can
He brings it there right to your door and then he rings the bell
You can tell that it’s the pizza man you can tell just by the smell
He gives the pizza over to you in a really nice warm box
You thank the man very much and give a couple of bucks
He thanks you very kindly for giving him that tip
As he heads back to the pizza shop to make another trip
The pizza man he gets the thanks and he gets all the praise
But little does the customer know not one hand did he raise
To get that nice warm pizza it was made behind the scenes
Someone had to make the dough prepare the meat and greens
It took a lot of baking and prepping to make it right
Then it’s sliced put in a box for delivery that night
The pizza man delivers of what’s been done before
He passes on the goodness that feeds one or maybe four

This is what a Christian does, to preach, to sing, to share
To feed you when you’re hungry to show you that they care
When someone hears the gospel songs they clap adorn and praise
Applaud the singer and the band with their hands they raise
The preacher can be popular too depends on who he is
“Cause at the time when people cheer all applause is his
We’re all just like the pizza man delivering something new
To feed the hungry sinful soul the one that’s in the pew
The offering plate is passed around you give a little tip
Giving thanks and gratitude for being fed and equipped

The person though responsible for feeding every soul
Was prepared many years ago a long, long time ago
Prepared in the background God prepared the only one
The one to represent Him would be His only Son
Now when the time was ready God prepared the Holy Lamb
To die upon that awful cross it was God’s redemption plan

Just like the pizza man my friend delivering food to your soul
To feed your hungry appetite giving Christ to make you whole
However, don’t praise us as we deliver, we’re doing it for the Lord
We deliver the message just on time according to His word
So digest the word that you hear from us, whether preaching or in song
It will strengthen and nourish your seeking heart if you trust God all day long
I’m only just the pizza man delivering some wholesome food
I give you all the ingredients………..the rest is up to you.
